Wanderlust is that feeling you get when the travel bug bites. It’s the restlessness in your feet as the need to explore takes over and you can’t be contained in just one place.
My name’s Tim and I suffer from wanderlust.
I first realised I was affected when I spent a couple of years travelling the world when I was in my early twenties. You know the situation, university was over, I didn’t want to grow up and the only logical step for me was to hop on a plane and never look back.
I wish I could say I’m still travelling to this day, as I write these very words. But alas, all dreams cannot come to fruition. I had the most amazing time and I learnt so much. Not just about myself but about the world around me. I especially picked up some very useful tips and tricks for travelling.
Now, as ‘real life’ sets in, Hollow Earth was created to share the incredible experiences that I had around the world and offer my take and advice on how to get the most out of travelling. From equipment and supplies you need to destinations you must visit, how to get the most out of cities to general help on how to get the most out of your travelling bug.
I don’t regret any decisions I made. I’ve been all around the world and I feel very lucky to have been where I’ve been and to have seen what I’ve seen, does anyone ever regret broadening their horizons in the wider world?
But this blog isn’t all me, me, me, I want to hear from you too! I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to see all corners of the globe and step foot in every square inch (if it is possible, please tell me how!) I want other travellers to get involved, share their experiences, dish out their tips and just generally help each other out. So stick around, read the blogs, and don’t forget to like us on Facebook and leave a comment!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
